Welcome to The Pride of Durant
Congratulations on the Pride of Durant for nearly sweeping the competition on this trip. The Pride won first place position in both field and parade, preformed for pregame at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee. They sounded awesome and I am proud of all of the students in the band program. I love seeing the fire and passion of performing and being a part of something like that shine in their eyes and ramble their speech. They have wonderful mentors and guides in Chris Gregg and Leslie Wright Gregg, Steve Weaver, and Misty Forbis. I am a part of something great and having a hand in molding these tremendous students and young people is an honor and privilege.
Derek Fleeman, Assistant Band Director
We are all blessed to have a great staff, outstanding administrators (thank you to David Brese for coming), amazing boosters, hardworking and talented kids, supportive family, and first and foremost a God who is always multiplying our blessings!!
Thank you for all of your hard work!!! It takes all of us to make it happen, not one of us can take all of the credit (directors, kids, parents, etc...). We are all pieces of a well-oiled machine!!
Leslie Gregg, Assistant Band Director, MS Band Director
I am thankful to all the parents, drivers and directors that made the Pride of Durant Memphis trip possible. I am also extremely proud of our kids who played and marched their best and represented their school, city and state very well. These kids inspire us and if you have not already people you should support them in every way possible. I am also grateful to Assistant Principal, David Brese, a class act himself, who traveled to Memphis to support us. Most of all I am grateful to God for bringing us all with the vehicles and equipment safely home.
Mark Morrison, Band Booster Member
Thank You to Mr and Mrs. Gregg and all the adults who gave our kids the great opportunity to be a part of the Liberty Bowl!!!! The kids are an amazing group of talented musicians and we are so proud of them!! 🏆🏆🏆
